I have the app but it cannot work out your tariff but does give the correct usage.
Always astounds me how they have the data with 1-2 hrs of usage and octopus can be 12 hours +
Yes, just the app.
I'm mainly interested in getting the previous day's figures by app instead of having to look at the little box in the kitchen - I currently record my daily usage along with my solar output from its own app and the smart display only holds daily figures for 7 days, so if we're away then you can lose some of the data
You get the usage in the loop app, at anytime, within a couple of hours.
I’ll post a screenshot of usage now from my phone.

I don't know how it could be!!
Thank you.
With the Mini I'm getting previous day's consumption by about 8 am but can't get the breakdown of when the power was used. Is there a way?
I can see when leccy was used on the Lux dashboard but not in a usable format.
In the android app you can see live usage(updated every 10 seconds), last 5 minutes, last 30 minutes, current days usage(every 30mins), weeks usage, months, and years.

Is that standard with Octopus if you have a smart meter?
I'm planning to change to Octopus, so that would be good

Yes, once you get an octopus mini, which you have to ask for and which can take quite a while to get.

I pushed to get a usable Smart meter for E7 but my meter is 100 mts from the house so the IHD would be useless. As it turned out the IHD didn't work when sitting on the meter box so I raised a complaint to Greg. This got picked up and followed through by his complaints team, eventually, after many "suggestions" on my part a Mini turned up which would cure the IHD issue. It does what it says on the tin except that I can't see the time breakdown on my consumption.
Use email for any issues, that way there is an audit trail so if needs be you can take your grumbles else where if they don't get sorted. It's difficult to remember/prove things said over the phone.
With all the problems I would still advise others to move to Octopus. At least they do seem to listen and try to get it right.
