There is just something magical about a windfarm build that a solar farm build cannot compete with. The shear size of components being delivered to site plus the crazy cranes you need to build them.

Whereas the solar farm is something all of us could do, given enough time, its just Nowty Towers x 3500.

I've just noticed GF has returned the first £1k of my just over £5k investment in less than 14 months operation. 8-)

I used to walk the length of turbine blades at dock in Freidrickshaven Denmark on nightshift. Truly awe-inspiring bits of kit, the shape is awesome. Twinkling under the sodium arcs covered in dew, pretty cool. 8-)

Just checked and I have it as 19.26% roi to date since first turn of the blades. :D

Today looks like a decent day at site.

Further checking (I'm doing this on my phone so might not be bang on), by the end of year 2 assuming close matched performance to year 1 we will see a total roi across the two years of 50%.

Only if someone withdraws and no other members of the CoOp wants to buy more shares.

Considering the waiting list for KH (existing members) one month ago was over 1,300 persons waiting, you don't need to do the maths to work out its not happening.

They have said the reservation list for P4 will open when the P3 (DW) offer closes. They have also said they will launch P4 this year but it comes down to how quick DW closes. I don't believe it will close mid this month and may well be extended for several more months.

As to whether its Solar / Wind / Hydro, who knows, it will depend what "ready to go" projects there are to choose from. The biggest difficulty seems to be finding a project with a reasonable grid connection timetable.

Thanks Nowty,

I'm not partaking of DW but another WT or Hydro system would be taken up as I now consume more because of the BEV.......oh and the fact that the kids are getting older and therefore more electrical gadgets for them and cooking and cleaning blah blah blah you get the idea, we are getting to the point where we will need a significant boost to our power generation.

Hydro would be nice so we can be happy in the rain as well and the sun and wind.

Although I'm now full at somewhere around 200%, it was 120% of my use but I've just become too efficient at using energy.

Damn those Dubai bulbs.
