When it was first announced it was coming to the UK, with a different importer/dealer, it was touted as being around £25k - I think a lot of people were surprised when it landed at >£30k...

I did see an entire car transporter load of them heading East on the M3 towards London the other day though.

Hi Dan, maybe it's the distance, taxes (VAT), tariffs etc, don't know, but it has just landed in Australia at A$46k, which is roughly £25k. This article points out that the price is the same as a Toyota Corolla (after subsidy in Queensland).

The Year Of The Cat — The ORA Cat Arrives In Australia!
Noosa Great Wall Motor (GWM) had a brand spanking new ORA Cat on display. It was beautiful. Written on the side was the price — AU$46,410. Apart from the fact that the car is a futuristic retro punk fusion masterpiece, what got me excited was the price. If you couple this price with the recently doubled Queensland government rebate of $6,000, then you have an EV in Australia at the same price as a Toyota Corolla hybrid. We have price parity. The naysayers will have to find another reason to not buy an electric car.

PS - £32k for a kitty cat, v's £39k for a lion (TM3 inventory price).
8.7kWp PV [2.12kWp SSW + 4.61kWp ESE PV + 2.0kWp WNW PV]
Two BEV's.
Two small A2A heatpumps.
20kWh Battery storage.

I was going to get one but it's a bit rough around the edges for the price.

Also the dealers really put me off. Took ora a long time to enable direct sales from them by the time they had I didn't want one anymore.
