It will be interesting to find out (not sure whether we ever will), what the long term PPA offers for the borrowing part of KH are. It was in the April KH Coop minutes that offers had been made and Ripple were going to make a recommendation. Prices were slightly higher then.
16.9kW PV > 107MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 22MWh generated
5 Other RE Coop's
105kWh EV storage
60kWh Home battery storage
40kWh Thermal storage
GSHP + A2A HP's
Rain water use > 510 m3

GF looks like waking up for the last week of this month after trickle charging my VB for the past couple of weeks. It might just make the June baseline.

I remember my old work department had an away event in Brighton, but it was done on the cheap in the middle of winter.

I was up past the aptly named Windyraw this morning. A huge windfarm project going in there just off the A96 on the West side if anyone passing through.

A question on the Ripple/Seedrs community: "Any implications for Ripple re Siemens failure rates?"
https://www.reuters.com/business/energy ... 023-06-28/
LONDON, June 28 (Reuters) - Major wind power developers including Iberdrola (IBE.MC), RWE (RWEG.DE), EDP Renovaveis (EDPR.LS) and Orsted (ORSTED.CO) played down the impact of potential problems with Siemens Gamesa onshore wind turbines.

Siemens Gamesa parent Siemens Energy (ENR1n.DE) last week said problems with its more recent onshore platforms could affect up to 15 to 30% of its installed turbines worldwide, triggering a 37% fall in its share price.

It warned that it could cost more than 1 billion euros ($1.1 billion) to fix flaws in rotor blades and bearings, which could cause damage ranging from small cracks to component failures.
Fingers crosssed...
2.0 kW/4.62 MWhr pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWhr batt
30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWhr pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,
Most travel by bike, walking or bus/train. Veg, fruit - and Bees!

Everything else looks ok, all foundations done, all turbine components delivered and stored at the port in Ayr. Roadworks enroute to site done and dry run completed with simulated load. So, finish off site roads, crane standing areas, deliver to site and assemble.
SWMBO has just asked whether, with 18 blades to shift, it wouldn't have been viable to get a helicopter lift for that bit? Obviously you would need an extra set of stillages to park them up there, maybe an on-site lorry/trailer for moving them to the erection point...

I remember seeing big tree trunks being hauled out of mountain forest in Switzerland a few decades ago, so it wouldn't be out of the question.

But I do remember seeing big tree trunks being hauled out of mountain forest in Switzerland a few decades ago, so it wouldn't be out of the question.
You'd need a chinook twin rotor or similar plus the risk of damage on landing. Can only get it wrong.. Would be a hell of a site though, I'd be down there with flask & sandwiches in the morning to see those lifts!
