Aye, I remember that one!
I'll hook a panel on all 4 panel ports this morning then never think of it again. A LOT of comments the same as my fault. Worked once then failed.

My expectations are zero refund, at best I'd pay to send it back for repair. As it's proved to be junk and going on the feedback link contents it's not worth the end result.

'Tested all four PV port sets. solid red light to show panels connected and DC present. AC side is dead as led never changes from red. This unit has has been operated twice for under an hour and has failed. I would like refund as it is not fit for purpose as sold.'

Let's see how it plays out.

Opened up the front plate. It's a neat build. Tested what I can, fuses, continuity where I could then looked for indication of POP, none found. That's me at my limit of tool and skills!

I had a look on Amazon and they do not stock the Hoymiles units with integrated WIFI (HMS series). They are on Ebay, just checking if the supplier shop can also supply the HMS plug & Play cable which i'll reterminate at plug end rather than doing a chop close the the unit itself. Pretty sure that would N&V any warranty!

Cable sourced on Ebay, a bit pricey but it a decent looking quality.

I'll update towards end of Sept when its all here and integrated. :D

For future historical reference, let's see where it goes next. So far it ran an hour, cratered and now om meant to open up a plug & play unit to fault find.

How many as a percentage would be happy doing that in average buyers?
