For future records, the numbers to look out for are around 14.2 GW on gridwatch and 18 GW on energy numbers.

EDIT - Its not actually mega windy tonight so we must have had a fair more bit of capacity added since the last big blow. Or maybe there is less curtailment due to grid upgrades.

Looks almost same figures as gridwatch so unlikely to include estimate of unmetered wind.

Early Thursday morning looks quite a bit stronger wind but more northerly so some onshore wind farms might not be best placed for max generation, W or SW is usually best but looks very nice down the east coast over the North Sea offshore windfarms. Could be another price plunge on Agile too.

The Crown Agents Asset Map shows live generation status of all of the offshore wind farms around the UK including their capacity factors etc - also shows wind speed
