Having invested in Kirk Hill and a small investment in Derril Water and a £25 bribe for project 4 (not yet announced) i find myself 2 mths from completing the mthly payments.
After this i shall be approx £100/mth better off but feel i should continue to invest/support renewable projects.........
Does anyone know of a community project that may provide a return or benefit to me ??
Apologies if this appears a selfish post but i have a large mortgage /a house requiring much work and am not a charity but believe my heart is in the right place .....

or something from https://communityenergyengland.org/pages/share-offers ?
Can't put it in an ISA though, so you might well end up paying 20% tax on the interest - no matter what Ripple say! (You don't have to have very much in half a dozen of these to get up to the savings interest threshold!)

Triodos currently have something in an IFISA, I think, although it might not be pure energy.

I thought I'd pull together the timeline so far on the turbine builds what with it being the halfway mark and all that.

O7/09/23 All gear onsite & T1 build started.

14/09/23 T1 up.(7 days)

15/09/23,crane moving to T2.

05/10/23 T2 up. (20 days)

06/10/23 crane moving to T3.

????? Crane breaks @ T3, back up crane brought in.

17/10/23 T7 up. (11 days)

?????? Crane repairs @ T3

25/10/23 T3 up. (8 days).

50 days to get to 1/2 way mark incl a couple of legit named storms and a crane breakdown. That's around 12th Dec projecting out for all 8 to be up. I think that's excellent progress so far. 👏. They'll.be needing zero hoods soon though! :D

Thanks for putting that together Joe, it's great they've made such progress given the circumstances.
While that's been happening GF has been winding up the generation figures, albeit without the mammoth return of July, but finance wise, sufficient to surpass all the remainder. It's return alone for October showing our energy bill for the month a clean pair of heels. :D

Yes Joeboy, in for KH and planning to come up for open day. As for final nosecone going on then I'm not sure I'd even get the right month let alone time and date. How about midnight Dec 24th, just in time for Christmas. :D

Haha I don’t think anyone is working at 03:50.

Let’s say the topping off ceremony at 9am!

There is a 48hr window forecast for next weekend, with two cranes, maybe they can get two done.

I'd go for 4th Nov for the next one.

But for the 8th (all of them up), 6.00 pm 20th Dec. :geek:
