These ones have got a bit of 2 inch pipe across each 4 scaffold bits to make it stronger.
The only problem has been the cable plugs and sockets burning up. All cut off now and cables soldered together.
A hole was dug for the 3 inch ground mount pipe and they are cemented in. The angle of each frame of 4 panels can be changed very easily.
I was going to do an automatic drive system to change the angle once a week. Still on the to do list.
We have got Gusts of wind up to 63 mph tomorrow. Will let you know if they go wonky. If the 150 ft vertical tower gets blown over it should fall behind the panels.

Alan, Turnip! :D
Do you get anything useful out of it? Liking the height.

This is from an old TURNIP post.

Quote " Wind is making trees move about Today.

Turnip is putting 24 milli amps into the 24 volt battery system. That is a lot more power than normal. "

Checked today. 1ts 11 milli amps. :D

It does look good though.

Very nice some nice numbers there, always nice to see savings for very little outlay.

V happy with mine although at some point I need to get the big boy panels out of the garage, I've got mine split between battery and Hoymiles atm, the issue being on a moderately sunny day with 2 panels, mine starts exporting to the grid, not ideal at this point. So split right now but its still chuntering (I feel like that should be a word!!) along nicely.

Shame about big panels, weather has been atrocious for our neck of the woods, but today is amazing but I got stuff to do, not least of which get the leaves off the drive and walk the hound THEN jobs.

If they were not in the cardboard box in the garage. But out of the cardboard box and just leaning against a wall out side. They could be providing a bit of energy.

You would have more space in the garage to buy some November cheaper ones.

ah, dont get me started on the cheaper out of sale than in... !!

Alas, more important things to do right now. hard to believe but true, plus, need to dismantle and collect the Storage heaters tomorrow.

Again, a shame, especially since we've had two goods days down here and would have been perfect.

Tay,

If it makes you feel a bit better, your notification of the cheaper panels spurred me into action and I now have 1.6kWp sat in the shed waiting for the gales up here to subside and for me to decide how and where I am going to squeeze them in around the cottage.

Thank you for the link! ;)

I've got to decide if its separate micro inverters, or a string inverter, or off grid DC and a battery, this side of the road, the other side of the road etc etc Fun times
