Octopus saving sessions coming 1st Nov

Hi,
I have twin 5kW Gen3 Givenergy hybrid inverters, a 9.5kWh battery on each - this actually allows me to pump out a max of around 7.2kwh to the grid. Also looking at adding a further battery to each at some point, especially with the new 0% VAT incentive from February next year.
[/quote]
That seems a great set up, my installer says I can’t do that.
Maybe because you have 2 inverters. I will have to take a look at that as your set up sounds ideal for exporting a lot plus my heat pumps use a lot of kWh.
Have you got solar as well?

Yes, increased it recently to just under 15kWp, but not all positions are ideal.
Re: Octopus saving sessions coming 1st Nov
100% another surprise "test" session happening again between 17:00 and 18:00 tonight.
AND THERE MAY BE ONE TOMORROW (15th) TOO, maybe an early one ?
Looks like ALL my energy needs for Dec will be met by Saving Sessions this year.

I swapped charging cars, batteries and DHW to 5-7pm last night, plus heating was on anyway. Looks like it was a good move

Re: Octopus saving sessions coming 1st Nov
Do you normally import during saving session hours, so your baseline is positive? My baseline was slightly negative due to export on the 28 November, I've now stopped exporting after 16:30.94JDH wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2023 9:42 amHi,

My system can export pretty much at 8kW but you seem to be getting higher rewards, I got £15.50 for the last session. Unfortunately missed out on one of the £4 kWh sessions due to meter issues which were thankfully resolved after a week of no electric readings.

Tomorrow as an additional run would be a great bonus!nowty wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2023 10:09 am100% another surprise "test" session happening again between 17:00 and 18:00 tonight.
