Have you got CAN communication between the battery and the inverter?

Are your inverters set to Pylon batteries in the battery setup?

I have no communication between the batteries and the inverters
The battery is set at default battery in the settings not pylon

Thats probably the problem then. What are your battery settings?

Are you getting red lights on the batteries?

Your much better having communication as it takes care of all that, keeps the soc right, measures the actually battery voltage, and offers much better battery protection and system protection. I'd never not have battery inverter communication.

Do you mean 2 batteries on each inverter?

No connection between the two stacks?

I have two sets of 16s lifepo4 batteries on each inverter and a JK B2A24S20P BMS on each pack of 16s
hope this helps

Ref. “ Have you got CAN communication between the battery and the inverter? “

He has got
32 LiFeP04 3.2volt. 302 Ah cells
Each bank of 16 wired in series.
Both banks wired in parallel feeding the Solar ME300sp.
Each bank has got its own JK B2A24S20P B.M.S. System.

The B.M.S. Systems do not communicate with the ME300sp

Somehow I'd got it in my head he was on Pylontech.

I seems very strange that the inverter is seeing a battery over voltage when their is no communication with the battery and the battery bank is separate from the other inverter.

JK now do an active balance BMS that looks to be very good.

(Their is also a gizmo that someone is selling to give CAN communication to the older JK BMS's but he's selling it at an astronomical price, so much so a new BMS is cheaper.)

Hi
The BMS units i got have the active balancer in them
is that the bit that balances each of the cells if so i have that
and on the app it gives you a reading of each cell voltage when balanced

Do you have any other charging devices for the batteries apart from the Sofar units ?, like any DC charge controllers ?

On the Sofar battery settings, what are the settings for,

max protect voltage ?

max charge voltage ?

full charge voltage ?

You can get this info from the "System Information" page.
18.7kW PV > 109MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 26MWh generated
5 Other RE Coop's
105kWh EV storage
60kWh Home battery storage
40kWh Thermal storage
GSHP + A2A HP's

hi
max protection voltage which i presume is overvoltage protection is 58.5v
max charge voltage is 56.5v
full charge v is 55.0v
hope this helps
