Are the panels rotated through 90 from the old to new? No shading issues?

Blackfriars do some really effective stains/preservatives 👌

Rail joint extentions look long enough to me - similar length to the Renusol OEM's that were left over from my recent pv system install.
Oddly a few spare ones the installers left lying around in their scrap pile fell (cough) into my 'future usage' storage box, along with the old roof hooks.

New install on the shed looks great :praise:

No they are the same orientation, I know its a bit deceptive, if you look at this pic you will see how a single panel looks, they are huge at over 2 metres long. Regarding shading, shocking at this time of year as they are shaded by my and neighbours house and they are NE facing, but almost flat. By mid Feb they are much better and by mid March they are full on and in summer bang out all day long from early till late. If it was not for the export tariff I wouldn't have bothered as I have more than enough generation in summer for self use but with 15p / kWh export, I foresee me exporting 24hrs a day in summer. By day on the solar and by night by the batteries cos I have to get them down enough to charge and export by day.

The rail extensions were OK, but when I first measured after I had cut them I thought, feck they are 1cm too short and I don't have any more of the rail. Its Dutch and no longer available here. :?

But in the end they just about fitted.

Everything looks OK to me.
Uh oh. I've just started the whole export process pulling out of my FIT. Let us know how it goes please. Hopefully nothing to see here.

Hopefully you have lots of screenshots etc. The words 'your balance may be incorrect' as we make changes is a bit dodgy.
Hopefully will be OK, :xx:,

They debited my Dec usage without sending me the actual bill. The amount they debited looked about right to me but I may have taken the IOG too far on the extra slot manipulation and they want to charge me full rate on some of the extra slots.

Or it could be my export at the start as I had asked to initially go onto the Agile export, but they put me on Fixed export. I decided to keep the Fixed export, but then they changed my export to Agile and somehow back dated it. I then asked to move to Fixed and they did immediately but maybe the billing has gone awry.

I'm not too worried.
I finally got the actual bill and from their manual reviews, the only two changes were,

An additional charge of 86p :hysteria: and a credit of £15.17 for my export. :xx:, it looks like it was my change from Agile to fixed export which required some recalculation. It seems gaming cheapslots on IOG is all fine.

I was thinking as I am now on an export tariff and have Ripple wind turbine savings, :whako:

I effectively sell to Octopus my Ripple wind turbine leccy for 27p / kWh.
I then buy the leccy back from Octopus which includes all the levies and VAT at an average of 7.7p / kWh on the IOG tariff.
I then sell some back to Octopus at 15p / kWh on the fixed export tariff.

The statement does not include £181 in octopoints gained on the Saving sessions over the same period.

Time to take some cash out?
12x 340W JA Solar panels (4.08kWp)
3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
5x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (12kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger

(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)

I'll probably wait till April when I've cashed in my octopoints and my exports are exceeding my import costs.

No more room to fit any !, but I've got as big a battery as I need, I have maybe one more minor PV change in mind, only a few hundred watts.

I'm getting to the limits of what can be done on a single phase system. I'm maxed on my SMA system recommended 12kWp and am DC coupling a further 2kWp via a charge controller on the batts. But everything starts becoming limited most of the year as the batts are always full and there is only so much you can export before exceeding the legal limits or the grid voltage rises too much.

Nowty, what is stopping the DNO giving you a higher export limit ie 6kW?
Solar PV: 6.4kW solar PV (Eurener MEPV 400W*16)
PV Inverter: Solis 6kW inverter
Batteries: 14.4kWh LiFePO4 batteries (Pylontech US5000*3)
Battery Inverter: LuxPowertek 3600 ACS*2 battery inverter
WBS: 8kW Hunter Avalon 6 Multifuel burner (wood only)
