Solax sk-su3000e OFF MODE following install

Hi,

I have purchased a second hand Solax sk-su3000e X1 hybrid inverter.

When all is powered up with batteries connect the display states OFF MODE.

Anyone know how to switch to normal operation mode?

Had a look through the manuals I have but can't find reference to the OFF MODE.

In the later ones Gen 3 and Gen 4 there is ref to off-grid as one of the modes, have you connected it to the mains or just the battery. Off with only the battery connected may be a short version of Off-Grid.

Hi again,

Connected my Pylontech batteries to it.
Plus connected to the grid via the power connection into the Consumer Unit, plus the CT sensor on the meter tail Live.

Can't see how to switch it from OFF MODE to NORMAL.......

SOLAX support confirmed that it should work as an AC Coupled Battery Charger without any PV directly connected to the unit........
The X1 also has Work Modes that can force charging from the AC Grid.......

Any ideas?

Just press and hold the "ENTER" button for 5 seconds to clear OFF MODE. It is mentioned in section 6.8 (page 30) of this manual.

Also my front panel only has up/down arrows and an OK and ESC buttons......

Also now found the on/off switch underneath the Inverter and now in NORMAL mode.......

Hi all,

Making progress.
I have found the on/off switch
I can monitor the inverter using the https://www.solax-portal.com/ portal
I have sorted out the CT clamp so now getting a reading from the daytime live meter tails, but the power/w reading on the control panel and solax-portal seems very low........ currently indicating 30w for the whole house.......

Now want to the get batteries (PylonTech us2000c lead battery) working...
The inverter is indicating a BMS error/disconnect, but the inverter and solax-portal showing the battery details - voltage, capacity etc.
I have connected the inverter to the CAN port on the US2000C lead battery.
Using the Solax comms lead with inverter and battery labels.....
Anyone have the uc2000c batteries working with a Solax sk-su3000e inverter - old inverter - new battery......
Current can't get battery charge/discharge working, but I think this is related to the BMS error.......
