Happy birthday :D - you old gits - I'm not 55 til September
Thats 5 of us 55 this year and 3 in the same month.

The Good Life series in the 70s must have brainwashed us all at an impressionable age, but only to kick in at middle age.

Went down for lunch today and had a glass of Sangria. Actually I had half a glass. Next thing me n swmbo are looking at all inclusive on easyjet on the phone. She's always fancied Egypt.

Before I know it I'm seduced by the easyjet sale and we've booked 2 weeks in a 5* Hurgadurga resort for £802 each.

Lunch was nice, beef madras and the cheeseboard. I ate it in disbelief at what we'd just done.

I hope Tom & Barbara would approve. :D

Looking forward to Luxor!

It feels about 23/24 degs. Absolutely brilliant. 8-) Much book reading and going easy(ish) on the booze & food. Trying to get back home at the same weight I left.

The weather looks lovely, we are in low cloud / hill fog and drizzle as per normal for us at this time of year.

Very mild though, around ten degrees which has been favouring the resident winter rats. I trapped a fat 6” the night before last but saw another of similar size and a skinny juvenile running off. They are still very much weary of lights and that’s making any .22 management difficult as I don’t own a nightscope.

Hopefully in another month or so they will move out and the hill fog will be less of an occurrence.

I have already noticed the sun is now setting to the horizon past the slate tip that creates an early sunset from November through to January so I should soon start to get the more reliable early evening light that makes a big difference to my array.

Enjoy the holiday it looks busy enough to be enjoyable but not so busy as to spoil things.

Maybe you need one of those solar back packs so you can charge your phone or battery while out and about ?

But don’t get in to trouble with the boss !

We've not been to Benidorm before and have been quite surprised at the potential.volumes of people stacking evident in the huge apartment blocks. 20 storey is typical with some significantly higher.

Winter there is a lot of traders still open but loads of space to move around in. Had a look at figures online. A Winter population of approximately 70,000. That's a decent figure but pales to the Summer maximum of 1,000,000 people.

Good luck hunting Moxi, we are also seeing steady incremental solar gains. Nothing incredible but definitely heading the right way. The backpack solar panels will be heading out to Turkey in April. :)

Walked the bay today, 6 miles! Plus a haircut. Nobody will ever mistake Benidorm for a bonny toon? Nice though to see the money flipping over even in Winter?

SWMBO bought me a fantastic pineapple black Hawain type shirt. I bought her shoes which if comfortable we'll go back for six more sets. Keep the money moving!
