I see off peak is reducing to 7p from July 1st due to decreases in wholesale prices….. :)

Just received the email myself and peak rate is dropping by about 3.5p too. :xx:
I fecked up the other night and accidently imported about 10 kWh on peak cos I for got to re-programme my battery inverter. :facepalm:

And apparently I've heard that standard Octopus Go cheap rate is dropping from 9p to 8.5p but also gaining an extra hour of cheap rate from 00:30 to 05:30.

Possibly to compete with British Gas which offers 5 hours cheap rate on its EV tariff.

That is so annoying when you forget to change a schedule.
I’ve had a couple of slots when I’ve been charging the batteries using peak electric, fortunately only 3-4 kWh this month.

I’ve had a couple of slots when I’ve been charging the batteries using peak electric, fortunately only 3-4 kWh this month.
If you realise in the same half hour slot it can often be rectified by requesting a charge session ASAP before the half hour slot ends, but in this case it had been importing for 2 hours and the time was exactly 21:30.

Been there more than a few times myself! :fight: .I think this is a PB for the house being occupied.

It's not so good for those of us without EVs, my "cheap rate" is going up 7 or 8%

Standing charge (per day) 64.974p / 65.835p
Unit rate - peak (per kWh) 32.515p / 35.541p
Unit rate - flux (per kWh) 13.935p / 15.232p
Unit rate - day (per kWh) 23.225p / 25.387p
2.0 kW/4.62 MWh pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWh batt
30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWh pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,
Most travel by bike, walking or bus/train. Veg, fruit - and Bees!
