And apparently I've heard that standard Octopus Go cheap rate is dropping from 9p to 8.5p but also gaining an extra hour of cheap rate from 00:30 to 05:30.

Possibly to compete with British Gas which offers 5 hours cheap rate on its EV tariff.

That is so annoying when you forget to change a schedule.
I’ve had a couple of slots when I’ve been charging the batteries using peak electric, fortunately only 3-4 kWh this month.

If you realise in the same half hour slot it can often be rectified by requesting a charge session ASAP before the half hour slot ends, but in this case it had been importing for 2 hours and the time was exactly 21:30.

Unit rate - peak (per kWh) 32.515p / 35.541p
Unit rate - flux (per kWh) 13.935p / 15.232p
Unit rate - day (per kWh) 23.225p / 25.387p
2.0 kW/4.62 MWh pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWh batt
