Managed 12kWh today. I'm impressed with seeing the power flow to grid alter automatically as I ramp up or down storage heaters & HWT at home. This actually feels like the missing link.

My Nowty inspired test figures to date.

17/07 13.1kWh
18/07 11.6kWh
19/07 19.3kWh
20/07 12.0kWh

56kWh sent gridward so far. I've set discharge at 09.00 to 16.00 hrs today and if all goes well I'll leave it there for a while. I'm pleasantly surprised at the simplicity of this. :D

Yesterday was a very poor solar day here at Nowty Towers, but even on poor solar days if you can export only half of what you import the energy is free or even negative.

Import cost on IOG cheapslot 7p/kWh = £1.90

Export income on Fixed Outgoing 15p/kWh = £2.75

Today its back to normal summer service and the next week looks excellent. :xx:

I love it too...

I turn the battery discharge rate down to make sure it isn't flat by 7 pm, otherwise just let it go... It's nice when the pv tops it up and exports at full bore anyway!
2.0 kW/4.62 MWh pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWh batt
30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWh pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,

Its wall to wall sunshine for the next two days so I thought I would try for a 24 hour PB of export. Could try it either day but its a couple of degrees cooler today and tomorrow is a day later in the year so slightly lower sun angle as we head away from the summer solstice. So going for it today, my PB export in a single calendar day is 104 kWh which I have managed twice.

I started at midnight with a setting of 4.5kW export rate and I drained two thirds of the battery stack before 10am.

I'm hoping to break 110kWh in a single day. :xx:

Is there a coincidental street party to be powered? :praise:

I am aiming for a less battery stessing day today. More akin to hopefully an average day outwith Dec to Feb deadband. 30kWh per day average across the year would be great for us.

£1,642 before costs, all the best in today's adventure Nowty.

So far since the beginning of the year I have averaged 33 kWh per day export, winter is tough though as I need the batteries to run the heatpumps for the heating.

Today at around solar midday I'm on 61 kWh export.

That means I need another 44 kWh export for a PB but I only have 11 hours of day left. :?

I'm sure all the PB's will fall in May 25? We'll stick to sub 25kW overnight on the 100A fuse for Winter. There will have to be staggered switching to hit it all without risk of blowing the main fuse. Staggering the SH's last Winter was effective

4kW stack charge
3kW HWT
5kW EV
2kW washing machine
2kW dishwasher
12kW storage heaters

I reckon I'll be down to 10kW export in Winter months but should catch up in the good months. Last thing really is to see the reliability of the stack soc and our charging limit. Coupled with what I can only call bounce as the soc readjusts once demand is absent. Last night we went from 20% to 90% soc which is close enough allowing for Pylontechs capacity degradation. Certainly without the sun to boost the pack we won't be able to empty it every day as we'd like.

I wonder if there is separate 2kW say 240VAC/48VDC charger I could run in tandem across IO window? This may be a dangerous thought....

Some on here use Eltek flat pack chargers, search "Eltek" on the forum, you will find some threads on them.
