You can test that theory anytime.
I think I am seeing less than full (G98 authorised) export sometimes when the battery has been told to give it and there is the pv production available too. My surmise is that grid voltage is high and the inverter throttles back to prevent the mains getting to an even higher voltage.
Which, if correct, is frustrating. Maybe the DNO should be required to compensate me for lost income! I can't imagine how that could be calculated practically for everybody though.

Mine varies too, home demand I assume? There is also the read time of the hybrid inverter it's not updated more than every few minutes so can't always be true to momentary export.

The meter info has now shown up on an export box within the Octopus account. That was 5 days from going live. No graphs yet but I'm sure they'll be along soon. :)

Over the last 5 days it's been a consistent £4 per day into the VB, which is excellent considering I've made no actual physical equipment changes. All just software. I was very much a fencesitter on the export side of things, indifferent actually.

I am now very much a fan of those extra panels being able to.work for the greater good when I don't need them rather than being shutdown by the solar controller.

The Winter cash accruing for storage heaters and less logs burned is a great example of the immediate and future benefits of the switch to export and using the existing equipment in a smarter fashion.

Export PB yesterday 44kWh! :D

Generated £70 at Ripple across the weirdness.
Generated £41 (before costs) over 7 days on export.
Generated £38 off of home PV generation.

£149 generated.

£38 EV, HWT & stack charging cost. £111 into the various VB's, not bad. :xl:

Not sure how this count tallies up though? Guessing it will take a while to settle out.

Not complaining, yet we've got quite a discrepancy between the hybrid inverter reading

And the Octopus export reading.

But haven't you got more than the hybrid inverter exporting, SolarEdge?
3.87kWp PV
10.24kWp PV SolarEdge system
Tesla Powerwall 2
100 x 47mm Navitron tubes (still being installed!) Now likely to be removed for more PV.
MK2 PV router DHW diverter
Morso 5kW WBS
Vaillant AroTherm 10kW ASHP

Yes, although I thought that count was also captured by the hybrid. It certainly seemed to be on the momentary count but not it appears on the accumulated count? Will know more when we get paid! Is that a specific date for all of us or start contract depending?

You will get it tagged onto your normal monthly bill.
18.7kW PV > 109MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 26MWh generated

105kWh EV storage

Thanks Ian & Nowty, much appreciated!
Similar outcome for yesterday. I'll keep an eye on it once home. Either way I'm happy to be in this. They (Octopus, dno & BG).really did well.to make this easy for us. Highlighted by the majority taking place while on holiday. :D
