Impressive that it's in the Mach-E and on public roads too. Doesn't say their average speed though, but averaging over 6miles/kWh is always impressive.

Not impressed at all
!2yr + ago EVs were doing better mls/kwh. I remember a Miev doing 120miles on a 16kwh batt ie 7.5 mls/kwh at 20mph
I frequently do 6miles/kwh in normal urban driving at this time of the yr. If a kept to 30mph i am sure i could do 7miles/kwh.

I average 25miles/kWh onna lectric bike with off road tyres..

It says over 24 hours. 24 hours would indicate around 24mph average. Likely a little more, but not by much.
That it needs a 91kWh battery dumbs down this boring feat of just driving around very slowly, so not really impressed here, either.

It's not a claim it's empirical data.
Which law? The one the humans made up as a power filter or the intrinsic properties of the universe and conservation of energy?
Besides it is a hybrid I can use muscles and electromagnetics.
I'd be willing to bet that if we nationalised the car fleet the expenses involved in upkeep and subscription to a parasitic industrial complex in the form of insurance; motor tax, road maintenence, service charges, tolls, parking charges etc..
We could afford to build a rail network that worked better and not charge users for journeys.
There's a lot to be said for steel wheels that don't shrinks as fast, lower co-eff. of drag, lower rolling resistance, no bleedin' batteries and having only one engine per few hundred users etc.

Averaging 6miles/kWh in a vehicle as inefficient as the Mach-E is impressive relatively speaking. But ok yes if they were driving at an average of 24mph then they're always gonna be eeking out a lot of range. Has Ford increased the battery pack capacity?

They maybe electric vehicles Saladin but what the UK trains aren't is reliable, cheap and universally accessible! Not every town or village has a station and as some have found on here before (IIRC) if you ebike your way to a train station they might well not let you on with your ebike - not the most joined up transport system is it.
