Re: SOFAR ME3000SP
Hi
can check the setting first
And can also check each battery's voltage, see if same voltage
And quality problem please just let me know , will take care of that !

Re: SOFAR ME3000SP
Hi
have checked voltages on cells and they seem fine
they are all balanced as well
the batterys are fully charged now and each inverter is faulting an ID05 every 2 minutes
which is annoying when im drawing power and the suns gone in
because the inverters are tripping, im drawing from the grid while they are resetting themselves
i dont know why they just dont go into there standby mode
they keep trying to charge when there fully charged
i have now put the charge rate to zero amps and the batterys are on standby and no faults coming up on the screen
but obviously wont charge now
my settings on the sofar are as follows
Default battery
608ah
Discharge depth 80%
Max charge 20 amps -------- any thing more and it cuts out but was running at 52 amps till last week
Overvolt protection 58.5
Max discharge 60 amps
Min discharge 48.0
Low voltage protection 42.5
Empty discharged 47.0
Fully charged 55.0
Max charge 58.4
My hardware is set at V1.00
and software is V2.20
any advise please

Re: SOFAR ME3000SP
If the battery voltage is fine
Then can Verify Battery Communication and Reset Inverter to check out where the problem might be ?

Re: SOFAR ME3000SP
I'm just wondering if the problem is the depth of discharge figure?
Looking at the screen you have said "I want to be able to discharge 80% of the battery" BUT what if the logic is written so that 80% discharge means only 20% of the battery is used ? so then the inverter tries to start charging a battery that's 80% full at 50Amps which fires up the overvault alarm as the BMS requires a lower amperage above the 80% point?
If you set the DoD to 20% will it then charge at 50 amps without fault?
I'm probably way off the mark but thought I would mention it.

Only thing I can think of is drop the charge voltage down a touch to 58V or even 57V and see if that helps.

Re: SOFAR ME3000SP
hi
have dropped the max charge voltage to 57v and it is working
straight away it went to stand by mode
i have still left my charge rate at 20 amps at the moment
should i try 57.5v or just leave it
very pleased
thank you

Re: SOFAR ME3000SP
It really just depends on how your BMS balances the cells, is it an active balancer (i.e. all the time) or is it a more simple top end balancer where you need to push the cells to the max.
57V on a 16S LFP battery should still be very near 100%, in fact 55.5V would still be about 99%.
I'd leave it at 57V and then increase the charge rate Amps and see what happens, if it still works OK, then you could increase the charge voltage if you wish.

Re: SOFAR ME3000SP
It is an active balancer on each battery pack
i will try what you said and increase the charge amps gently and see what happens
thanks for the help
