Dan please take yourself outside and admonish yourself greatly on my behalf.
Such a good price for the MG has resulted in me looking quickly at extreme range Ev's, and you've single handedly managed to remove my only 'negative' with owning one (desire to get to parents and back on one home charge), now that i have found the following:-

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-detail ... an&fromsra

What an absolute beast of a machine, 564bhp, 0-60 in 3.2secs and 440mile range - for less than £30k

Take an age on a granny charger mind :surrender:
4.0kw FIT PV solar Sunnyboy 4000tl & 7 x 570w JA solar panels
7.08kw JA Solar panels & Sunsynk ECCO 3.6kw.
7 x US5000 Pylontechs.
4500l RWH
Full Biomass heating system
iBoost HW divertor
Full house internal walls insulation
600min Loft insulation

I shall Birch myself later!

The Fisker Ocean is a lot of hardware for sure. But given they've just gone bankrupt you'd be taking a big risk - particularly on the software side as that's apparently as flaky as hell at the moment and it won't get any updates...

But if it has V2G or just load, then what a bargain home batt/inverter combo ...... till the software bricks! 113kWh, that's along the lines of a Tesla Powerpack. DNO's could deploy them
8.7kWp PV [2.12kWp SSW + 4.61kWp ESE PV + 2.0kWp WNW PV]
Two BEV's.
Two small A2A heatpumps.
20kWh Battery storage.

I should think so as well, my wallet has fell out with you!

Further reading has found the news about the Fiskar and the companies woes, no wonder they are being dropped so cheaply by the dealers, your spot on that that sensibly rules such a beast out, but the range posabilities has opened up my eyes a little wider to the EV concept and its suitability for us. The Polestar extended range model @ 409 range was next on the list to scan over, just, just, enough range with that.

Think i need a lie down though now.

Apologises to all for the plague of moths that peeking in my wallet has now released.

Meant to say, Autotrader usually has lots of new/pre-reg E-Corsa's or Peugeot E-208's in the low £20k to £25k range (and of course higher).

And medium distance Leaf's from around £18k up.

We are of course into "dealer discount" silly season for pre-registered cars with the new September 74 plates just around the corner.

Yep ...... but!

Those three I mention because they always seem to be on offer. Go back about 4yrs and I couldn't understand who'd buy a Leaf v's the Tesla model 3 on price grounds, and found out that the Leaf gets heavily discounted. So it seems that some makes and models have MSRP's designed to flatter (perhaps), whereas they actually sell for quite a bit less.

Toyota busyforks (and Nissan Ariya) seem to be available with £5k off, but I don't know if that is normal or not. Plus the Japanese need to shift as many BEV's (and PHEV's) as possible this year due to the UK's 22% requirement, or it's a £15k(ish) fine per vehicle sold, ouch!
