I came across a research paper today suggesting that vertical solar panel installation might outperform angled installations under certain conditions.Joeboy wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2024 8:51 pm TBH, I didn't really enjoy hacking into.the Sulphur heart to clear edge space for the 3rd panel. I draw solace that going forward we'll green the panel site along with area around it and that will we hope beautify while giving spots for beasties to thrive in.
We were amazed to see a hawk hunting in the garden.this week.
The HMS 400 1T is in the UK. Hopefully arrives get a test on it against the IQ7 next week. Maybe do panel 1 & 2 installed today tests plus the 180 turnaround for accuracy. I've got two panels (new) elsewhere in garden banging out power on older micro inverter tech. Interested to see if I should leave as is on Enphase or move to Hoymiles here at Scottish home? I don't expect major Wattage increase on the newer Hoymiles but worth a look on the 400's way out to.Turkey.

I saw some roof rib mounted vertical panels yesterday whist we were having a posh meal in the Walkie Talkie building sky garden.

I don't play! Family reunion ar Kilquonhar castle then onward to Edinburgh today for a look at the fringe festival with daughterly. All in trusty EV.
In Anstruther yesterday for first time in 45 years. Really nice wee fishing village if anyone passing through. Fife is absolutely beautiful, so green the noo!

Me neither, going to the concert afterwards though. Crail is also nice, pitenweem too.
Avoid St Andrews it’s mental this week, roads closed for the Open etc.
Re: Balcony solar PV
Dull, rainy day here so getting in whatever I can!
Hoymiles HMS 400 1T hooked into the first two shed mounted panels in parallel and outputting!...A mighty 1A.
Sig also updated to reflect 1kW PV added.
Edit- continues to rain heavy, yet a mighty almost 2A at 17.30hrs.
17.45hrs- 2.13A!

Re: Balcony solar PV
Heard back from Eassee chargers on the 253+ V issue faulting the charger unit.
"Thanks for your email and I apologise for the delay in our response.
I have looked at the chargers voltage and it does peak over the threshold on occasions, please see attached.
I have been able to increase the voltage level and hope that this prevents the charger going back into error mode.
Let me know if i can assist further."
I'll be installing the 4th panel today for the new 1 kW extension. Will keep an eye on the home generated voltage after that and see how the EV charger behaves.
Today, no problem
The reason being
Great to see the Amps creeping up slowly on the two currently operating panels. About 100W @ 240V I think?
