My Flux electricity prices are going up, and the standing charge, but my export rate is going down! How does that work??
14.3 to 12.3p day time - but going up for the peak rate from 4-7pm (21.3 to 24.4p) - which won't be a thing for very long as the days get shorter.

Does anyone know if the standard Outgoing export tariff is also going down? Flux is already below the 15p level currently.

Electricity
Current prices until 30th September 2024 / New prices from 1st October 2024
Standing charge (per day) 64.974p / 65.835p
Unit rate - peak (per kWh) 32.515p / 35.541p
Unit rate - flux (per kWh) 13.935p / 15.232p
Unit rate - day (per kWh) 23.225p / 25.387p
Strangely my standing charge is higher than yours - 70p, but my reduced rate electricity is lower - 13.9p - weird regional differences presumably

Quick question, does IO Go charge household use during an EV charging period at the standard rate or at the cheap rate? I've read the terms and conditions and it appears that household use is charged at the time relevant rate, but just want rk make sure that this is accurate.

If you have an IOG cheap slot outside of the standard 23:30 to 05:30 fixed cheapslot the whole house gets the cheap rate.

Example from a few days ago on 14th Oct.

Midday to 4am, thats 16 hours of cheap rate for ALL my usage.

23.30 to 05.30 is cheap rate. You have to plug in your EV at least once a month to maintain the IO contract. If you are fortunate to plug in and get time slots outside the aforementioned window you will also be on the cheap rate. This covers all home consumption.

Cheers guys, foe the reassurance. I'm always a bit wary when terms and conditions can be interpreted multiple ways.

Nowty,

I hate to disillusion you, but on my display it says that the app cannot display the cost correctly. Only the IOG slots are charged at the cheap rates. This can be confirmed by looking at the daily pages on the monthly bill.

This is a quite a new function on my Octopus account which has only been out for about a week or so.

But if you want to see a real bill, here is one from the past, you can see the cheap rate right until 8am, well past the 5.30am and I was pulling in 10kWh every 30mins so unlikely to only include my EV charging as I'm on single phase.

I stand corrected.

The App does not show the correct cost, at least for me, but the website now does.

The octopus app shows the previous day’s use at some point during the day and initially shows it at the set peak/off peak rates. When the app allows fur out if hours off peak schedules triggers by EV charging it updates. Not everyone’s app does this although it maybe an Apple/android issue as it updates on my iPhone but a friend on android it doesnt….
Here is an example I screenshot earlier this month
