The BBC forecast shows cold but relatively calm tomorrow, so let's hope the blades can go up before the wind picks up over the weekend. (18mph Friday, 20 on Saturday.)
A
2.0 kW/4.62 MWh pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWh batt
30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWh pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,
Most travel by bike, walking or bus/train. Veg, fruit - and Bees!

Me too, but I guess you are assuming "they" are listening in here... I'd love to know. We must be their No 1 fan club! (although I have no idea what is going on on social media, or even whatsapp, which I understand to be a shared email group - only available if you have got a smartphone.)
It might be that a discussion group is running in parallel to us.

I've let them know who and where we are. They were interested. That could be the placating of loonies or it could be genuine interest, who can say?
Don't know about the rest of you, I am enormously proud to be a part of this. WT2 too as and when. How can I sum this up... Take COP26 and shove it, we'll do this while you dither? Does that resonate with anyone?

Ripple have stated on their facebook page they are only publishing the progress to members first and will update on social media after the construction so we are probably spoiling it by re-posting here. 8-)

They probably did not want any bad publicity if it did not go as planned but they have now posted one photo of the internals of the tower, they could not resist it, could they.

What are the 3 people at the bottom left doing holding onto those ropes ?

I wonder if they are guide ropes for the rotor assembly ?

The blade is a bit big !

The generator, which houses the copper rings and magnet, is now on site, along with the three turbine blades. Great progress has been made over the past two days. We hope all our members are enjoying seeing their turbine going up. Due to poor lighting and worsening weather conditions, the on site team will now wait until tomorrow to confirm the build schedule for the coming few days. We will update members as soon as we hear more.

Looks like it will either be tomorrow or Monday looking the weather forecast.

surely they are guide ropes for the current lift? The blades and generator will start being lifted from ground level, at which point it will be quite easy to attach a control line! I don't think the crane needs a guide wire to slide them up (but I'm sure that is how you could do it if such cranes didn't exist...)

Tag lines to keep it under control, attach before the load leaves ground. Perform no lift without!
