The App does not show the correct cost, at least for me, but the website now does.
The octopus app shows the previous day’s use at some point during the day and initially shows it at the set peak/off peak rates. When the app allows fur out if hours off peak schedules triggers by EV charging it updates. Not everyone’s app does this although it maybe an Apple/android issue as it updates on my iPhone but a friend on android it doesnt….

Mine does this too, it made me thought I had fecked up on the previous days IOG gaming, but then noticed a day later it had changed and applied the extra cheap slots.
Previously we had to wait for the bill to arrive every month to see if our shenanigans had worked but now we only have to wait a couple of days.

Just a quick IOG query to people who are on the tariff.
I have just swapped over last night after being on the tracker tariff for a while. Octopus app still says I'm on tracker tariff though (hopefully wrong!)
I have an Ohme EPod charger and MG4 EV. Unfortunately the octopus app says it's in beta for that charger and/or car so have do the smart charging through the ohme app. Everything seems to be working ok, it gave me a schedule to charge and car charged last night to 100%. Ohme app reports the tariff is IOG. Says it cost £2.02 for 28.8kWh charge. So 7p/kWh, all good.
So on to the questions.... All relating to peak time (not the 6 hour window 23:30-05:30).
1. If the car finishes charging and gets to 100% during the scheduled charging period, do you still get the cheap rate for the whole scheduled charging period or does it stop when car reaches 100%?
2. If the car isn't plugged in during the scheduled charging does the house still get the cheap rate for the full scheduled period? Even if you don't plug the car in at all during the scheduled period?
I use IOG via integration with my iD4. The car needs to be plugged in to get the additional cheap slots. However if you unplug at 0832 you still get the entire 0830-0900 slot as cheap.

Probably best not to ever charge car to 100% so that you can always get a scheduled slot, as it needs charging.
I wonder if it gives you a longer slot if the car needs to be charged for longer and only gives you a smaller slot if you are nearly fully charged?

It also works the other way too, if you get a slot at 8.59pm, the whole half hour from 8.30pm is off peak…..
