But it could be dealt with by some other action other than the Demand Flexibility Service.
Well EDF have two reactors coming back up from refuelling Torness 1 and Hartlepool 1), its not easy to determine exactly where they are but its possible that one is going to be at 50% today (Torness) while they scrub the gas stream and will therefore be raising to full power tomorrow , the other seems to be a little further behind and might not be at full power till late Tuesday or Wednesday. That of course also requires them not to have any other transients while they pull the rod sequences so very much in the balance as always.

It wouldn't be the first time that EDF don't update their pages - I hadnt noticed as I am dashing around a bit today, so a good spot Nowty.

What is the shortest amount of notice Octopus has given of a SS to-date?

When do we call it “not happening today”? I need to game a cheapslot and charge the battery if we are go…
12x 340W JA Solar panels (4.08kWp)
3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
5x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (12kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger

I doubt it will happen now but its still getting worse,
Probability of 1 in 55 of :fan: , well it won't happen as other resources will be brought in.
From memory the worst I've ever seen it is about 1 in 20.
Tomorrow looks almost as bad.

Last year there were quite a few days when conditions were perfect for a SS but none came. Seems like we’re in a similar position today. I guess they’d prefer to burn gas and maybe even diesel rather than pay people to use less.

DRM back over 2000MW so probably panic over.
Probability now near 1 in 5000.

Wholesale price is really high though £140/MWh.

Barely any wind. Good job it’s not cold.
