Blimey, balloon flights are popular over there, I counted about 60 balloons in that first picture.

A 10 hour run with the temperature below freezing, air must have been dry as no defrost cycles.

There are 167 balloons in the area. We were in a 32 passenger basket so 34 incl the pilots. Gotta be one of the single most excellent things I've done. SWMBO was a cracker, loved it. Just been in underground city. A great claustrophobia test for me. :roll:

Plenty dormant volcanoes in the area. I asked the guide and he said yes geothermal energy is a thing here.

The whole area we are in has been covered in deep volcanic ash over time. The said up to 100mtrs thick. It was certainly odd plinking the underground city walls with nail and hearing the odd return note.
