Ouch! Definitely looks like a good time to upgrade. If some of them are salvageable they may still be worth selling - for some reason the little panels still seem to be worth a higher price for their size - and if not salvageable, at least they didn't cost much.

Feeling less smug now - my system is still going fine but my neighbours still have no power and I'm feeling rather sorry for them:- and nat grid keep moving the goalposts: power went off 2am Saturday; first they said it would be restored Sunday,
Then late Sunday, then late Monday - they're now saying the power won't be back on til late on Thursday.

If they'd said that from the start people could plan - look at buying a genny for the freezer, boiler and charging batteries for e.g. - but now most will be dumping their freezer contents.
