I have the 180W version of this and use it regularly at my desk to keep my feet warm or on the desk top to warm my upper body. I chose the low wattage as at the time I wanted to use it when my panels were bringing in the minimum of power and even that unit give you the feel of spring sunshine on your face - the panel has to be around 300 to 400 mm away for that tho because of the wattage. A larger panel will give the same feeling at a greater distance, I experienced that at Alton towers where one of the toilet blocks had big 700W panels on the ceiling and despite it being a cold November day it was incredibly warm and comfy walking underneath them.

Not so fair here sadly, gloom and leaden grey skies, walked two of the dogs in the dark windy drizzle at 7:30 and since then it doesnt seem to have advanced beyond the black turning towards battleship grey
A steady 300 Watts trickling from the batteries to the house to keep things rolling along - on the plus side KH is still thumping away at a good rate.

More than doubled the COP with a rise in temperature
Just been looking back at mine and since 05:00 on the 1st it ran continually supply heat to the house and HWC (except for defrosts) for over 313hrs, during that time it had a COP of 2.8 at an average temperature of -2.1C. Only today did it have a pause from heating.

I've finished filling the wall cavity this morning. Next up is the top fill with wool insulation. These are the latest readings from the walls. Can't compare to the last few days but it's all heading the right way.
I took a moment the other day to do a material heatloss calc for bare pb and then pb with 2" of vermiculite behind it at r2.5 per inch Across the area of wall we've improved it is a gain of 1.5kWh per 24hrs.

That's a fair bit of work to fill that cavity but you will get the benefit from it for years to come.
You need to get that air in the system sorted out, decide what mode to run the heat pump in, set a heat curve and see what it's like over a longer period. Probably start off with a higher heat curve (don't want Mrs I feeling the cold ) and take it from there.
Like I said mine is set at inactive, no night setback and the heat curve at 0.4 (was at 0.35 before the cold weather arrived).

Aye on the air. Still not sure it is though. I've dropped the dhw flow rate to 53% for tonight. I'll see what it does. Heat curve currently at 0.45. 0.6 is my freeze goto setting. If the air alarms continue I'll get them back out to bleed.
