Re: Octopus saving sessions coming 1st Nov
even if you don't usually import so your baseline is zero, by signing up you get octopoints for being in, plus credit for what you export.
p.s. I have just looked at my Octopus account and seen the invitation to join in, I think that previously you were automatically enrolled in subsequent ones so I would have missed that as I'm out for the afternoon.

Re: Octopus saving sessions coming 1st Nov
Just checked my baseline, I'm just over 8 kWh for the 16:30 to 17:30 slot, unfortunately I lost a bit by exporting at the wrong time.
56p / kWh is what Octopus are actually paying on the Opt In.
I can get over 8kW export, so with the additional 15p / kWh export element I make that a potential £11 or £12.
Thats about a week's worth of sub zero winter net energy bill paid for.

Do you home assistant guys use bottlecap Dave’s automatic saving sessions opt in blueprint. I’ve only just started using it and it has auto enrolled me yesterday and today
https://my.home-assistant.io/redirect/b ... ession.yml
Plus you should be using his excellent octopus integration first

Good job I checked on here, no e-mail, and the invite is pretty well hidden in the octopus account details on chromeAE-NMidlands wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2025 12:14 pmeven if you don't usually import so your baseline is zero, by signing up you get octopoints for being in, plus credit for what you export.
