Re: Foul winds blowing..
Just been reviewing the recent radar images and forecast, the eye of the storm seems to have started to track further North now, unfortunately that means Northern Ireland and the central belt (hope I got that bit right?) of Scotland are in line for a drumming, Fintray JB, Fuel the burn, AGT etc check your local weather as the wind speed look to be significant around 2pm tomorrow in your general area.
Here we look like we have dodged the worst with current gusts down rated to just 70mph.
The weather for five days ahead looks to have strong winds still which is good for wind power but might hinder the clean up and repair of any damaged infrastructure.
The weather front still appears to have significant speed to it too so its hitting hard but moving on faster than the last storm which was brutal in so far as it sat on top of us for almost a full day and bombarded us periodically with sever gusts. I remember going out after the end of it to find the snipe tender was up ended and pinned against the wall in the garden.
The new solar panels were packed in to the bunker earlier today from their temporary storage position outside.

I've just had a look and it is showing 70+mph gusts starting then with up to the mid 80s at the coast, batten down and hope for the best.Moxi wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2025 2:10 pm Just been reviewing the recent radar images and forecast, the eye of the storm seems to have started to track further North now, unfortunately that means Northern Ireland and the central belt (hope I got that bit right?) of Scotland are in line for a drumming, Fintray JB, Fuel the burn, AGT etc check your local weather as the wind speed look to be significant around 2pm tomorrow in your general area.

Re: Foul winds blowing..
This one is the real deal by all accounts. NI worst hit and central belt of Scotland not far behind...
12x 340W JA Solar panels (4.08kWp)
3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
5x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (12kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger
(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)

Forecasting gusts of 100mph +
Definitely sounds bad.
Stay safe people.
