Hi Stinsy. Another 'van' for your consideration. I know you don't want a van shape, but thought I'd mention just in case as the price may start in the low £30k's (but that's a small (for its size) battery model).Stinsy wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2025 7:43 pmYeah. The new BEV Transit Custom/VW Transporter is in the same category. My problems are: 1) Van. 2) Range.
I get to Devon in one hop in my iD4 with a bit of traffic or a temporary speed limit. I’ve gotten used to that and a shorter-range vehicle would feel like a step backwards.
I really like the mahoosive estate car shape (Dad had a Granada), I can cope with a big 4x4, van might be a step too far.

8.7kWp PV [2.12kWp SSW + 4.61kWp ESE PV + 2.0kWp WNW PV]
Two BEV's.
Two small A2A heatpumps.
20kWh Battery storage.

Yeah, the van thing doesn't do it for me. Nice to see some competition in that segment though.
I still don't understand the lack of full-size estate cars. I know they're not popular in the US, but Northern Europeans buy them in huge numbers!
