Nice watch, not too shaded today then ?

The trees don't hit it until later on in the afternoon. :on-patrol:

Even though the 2 panels on the north side are quite a low pitch, I think they struggle with the angle of the sun at this time of the year. So unsure if they generate much. I was hoping to be getting around 1.5kWh (hit that on a few occasions since install) consistently today, but seems to be struggling to go over 1.3kWh today, even though conditions seem the best they have been.

Still I'd say it's not too bad for up north, mid March, 2.58kW N/S array, 11° pitch.

Looking at generating at least 8kWh today.

I wonder if having all panels on the same string affects performance much? Suppose not worth thinking about as need them all to get over the startup voltage anyways.

What I find intriguing is that the installer wouldn't install panels in a portrait position due to being so close to the edge of the roof (MCS).... But it looks awfully close where they installed the panels horizontally.

Weird.

Are those ladders just casually stored next to that shade - err I mean tree, or are you plotting something dastardly ?

Moxi
Hehe... They actually are just there casually. It's the junk corner until I go the tip! I hope the top of his trees don't "accidently" fall off in a gust of wind otherwise I will look quite suspect.

You jinxed it nowty!

I wondered why it just dropped to 0.8kWh!!!!
Speak of the devil and the devil shall arrive!

That ladder is looking tempting now

Blimey - just checked the generation stats today 18th March 2025 - have already generated as much as the whole month in 2023, and 13 days still left in the month to go!

March is a funny old month, it can be almost as good as mid summer or as bad as mid winter. :whako:

We generated 40kWh today and have exported 33kWh of that so far with 38% soc left in stack and a a couple of hundred W's still incoming. If we don't quite manage dual 40's today i'm ok with that but it will be close. :D :xl:

It is very nice indeed to be back into Spring generation.

I have generated 22.5kWh so far and exported 30.7kWh of that. 🤪

Generation died a death when the shading started.

Ended up with 7.6kWh (Approx. 3x array size)

I have generated over 68kWh and have so far exported 60kWh with the batteries currently at 70% SOC. :xx:
