Yep - co-gen is when you produce electricity and heat....and usually get paid something for utilising the heat. In some countries (the UK included up until a few years ago), the subsidy for using the heat would often pay for the fuel, so the electricity is free as is the CO2. Unfortunately with biomass, you 'd struggle to produce clean enough CO2, so generally limited to burning gaseous fuels.
