11.6 deg low overnight outdoors

Top floor

Lower floor

2.1 degs loss across 11 hours O.19 deg loss per hour. I've not mirrored the times from the previous samples as I was wiped out and sleeping well before 21.30hrs.

They are returning to fit thumb locks on 3 doors this morning so house won't be wide open of door all day. I'll try and stay up late tonight and grab the 21.30hrs readings.

7 days since I turned the air heating off. It's just doing it's own thing. :praise: :)
.

Condensation on the outer panes.

Looking good Joe!

Those huge monoliths really do let a lot of light in. Makes the room feel more spacious too I’d wager…
12x 340W JA Solar panels (4.08kWp)
3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
6x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (14.4kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger

(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)

Cheers, the big units have skewed the perspective. The former big door set and light above it have now shrunk to a normal size. Once I've finished painting, cleaned everything and resited furniture I'll appreciate it more.

I'll be honest, I'm knackered in a way I've not been for a long time. Makes me realise that it isn't just a money drain scenario. It saps the self too. :surrender:

I can totally empathise that this process has been physically and emotionally draining for you!

Give it a year-or-two and your memory of inconvenience will fade but you'll feel the benefits every day!

Have you paid their invoice yet?

Off my own back I gave them an interim payment today. Enough held back to offset anything unbecoming and leave me a profit.

The replacement glass for the replacement glass for a smashed glass has been ordered. I'll get a text message when it's in and we can be done (maybe).

The rooms painted so it's all over bar the shouting. :D

Nah, carpets not straight :hysteria:

Open a cold one and marvel what you both have achieved.

Looks sooo much better than the previous frames, has modernised the look of the room and, almost forgot, you’ve improved your overall thermal envelope.

Good job guys :praise:

It’s never easy living through any form of ‘upgrade’ that disrupts the norm.

As others have said, you’ll get a few months in and forgot the bo11ocks.

And when you get to winter :)

Thank you BTB,

In the vernacular of my youth "don't want to play anymore".

It is exhausting, pushing & pushing to make folk hit the mark. Maintain balance, don't alienate. Rinse repeat.

Although I'm pretty sure I helped the young fella to now see a bigger picture. So for that alone it's been worth it and i reckon there's a few things he'll take forward on his life journey.

Thumb locks fitted on the patio doors with key alike.

It was great to see Fintray this afternoon, good chat about surprising local things.

I keep coming back to this internal corner and how good it looks. Let it stand testament for the whole installation.

I've done just over thirty grand of my own cash (tax free pension) on this series of works. For that we've got a bitchin ASHP with huge radiator and pipe upgrades, eleven windows & four doorsets at triple glazed 0.6 Uw spec and a whole screed of electric blinds too.

Considering the top 3G quote came in at thirty two grand on its tod and not close to the achieved Uw figure (i think it was 1.0 Uw)?

I feel I've fought the good fight.

Both SWMBO & I clocked the glazing boy that became problematic as a weak link on day 1. So he proved to be. We (me n SWMBO) had the discussion on timelines, potential trip hazards, their impact how it could all flow and decided they were worth the bet even on an extended timeline. So it has proved to be. Time slipped, money stayed low and quality was driven high.

Money
Time
Quality

Choose any two and give up the third.

Although and to be transparent, I'm not sure I'd go into it in quite the same way again, probably because i'm low ebbin the noo.

Although the company as a whole has since learned and anyone who goes in with them after me should find them much improved with lessons learned on the ordering process.

Although rectangles & squares are easy and were never a hassle for them.

The end quality though, is second to none. I can't see how it could be improved for a retrofit?

Winter you say, HAH, bring it! Says I.

As to the rug? It's special... :xl:
