Excellent: zero energy transport (apart from the embodied energy, and all the steel in it - is there anything else? - will eventually be recycled too.)
A very elegant answer to a transport need.
A
2.0 kW/4.62 MWh pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWh batt
30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWh pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,
Most travel by bike, walking or bus/train. Veg, fruit - and Bees!

The 1971 film "Get Carter" comes to mind, one of my all time favourites and it did occur to me a few years back when I re-watched it, whether the coal slag dumping system needed to use any external energy for its operation.

16.9kW PV > 109MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 25MWh generated

105kWh EV storage
60kWh Home battery storage
40kWh Thermal storage
GSHP + A2A HP's
Rain water use > 510 m3

Ahem, some ropeways were very long indeed although powered. Clearly the friction is relatively low.
