I have had to spend most of the last 30 Xmas stuck on ships in varied parts. The few I have had at home have been marred by a Boxing day 04.00 hr start to go somewhere really not very great. This year is the first year since about 91 when the job isn't looming large in reality or my mind. Please forgive me....

My wife's heroes, saw them a couple of times back in the late 70's, admittedly didn't really want to go at first but they put on a great show, took 3 days after the last one for the ringing in my ears to stop.

I employ & impart the mantra "Enjoy every season for the change it brings, or means is coming" ..derive pleasure from the simple things & dress /insulate for the worst weather.
But being a (fat old) snowboarder also helps.

& Besides it is smoked marmite & cheeses season again (no ice blocks & overheat to contend with)
If I had standing stones nearby I'd have done the same thing.
