Any news worthy story. Good things to watch at the Cinema, Theatre, on TV or have you read a good book lately?

Interesting that they don't actually say how it will be used but imply it will be burnt through an ICE all be it a large one. Methanol can also be used in fuel cells which might be a more efficient way of using it - results will be the same though largely CO2 and H2O as output, but perhaps less NOx etc.

I wonder why they are not going the NH4 route like some in Australia are doing ie zero CO2 ? Could this be loose reporting.

It does say no need for cryogenic or pressurised storage. Methanol is also very much (almost infinitely?) safer and less toxic than liqid ammonia, and I would guess a lot less corrosive in the engine too.

I hope their engines are stainless steel & any connectors bomb proof, the new autograde mix to petrol is not good in many car engines.
Hopefully these are built from the ground up as methanol engines not mere conversions? ..otherwise you may have some very big non responsive "drifting" tankers over time.

Brave move by Maersk. (applaud emoji ..if there were one)
