I'm not a fanboi, just try to be informed where purchases are involved.

Extra speed assist is likely deemed had for us based on not getting calorie created exercise as well as naff road surface risks & the like with perceptions to road heirachy.
(& the limit of usefulness of the cycling helmet in an accident)

Ok. Look into the fundamentals of "speed limiting" ebikes in relation to cycling helmets design limitations to achieve a safety sticker approval, like?y German / eu law for speed restrictions is in part based on that.
Hauptuntersuchung / TÜV ?

Looks logical, apparently there is a new helmet standard for evokes "NEN"
NEN – NTA 8776

Even that is written as if there is reduced effort by the rider ..laughable!

Ok, you seem to like to shift that thread to a "helmets " thread ? With witch intention ?

Am not too pushed, to talk about limitations and
Hauptuntersuchung / TÜV
like?y German / eu law
, to be frank !

I enjoy 50-80 km/h downhill on my Pedelec , but only on one i trust , so basically the bike first should be a good rider, next are the components to supplement

Because archaic law on bikes, is related to damage to humans, especially the skull.
Because of the extra "perceived" speed, so are helmets safety accreditation & the new helmet classification option.
It is all relevant to your replies.

I provided the tuv context because it is found on many products across the EU as it was intended to help, in another reply you didn't understand.

Helmets, regardless of validity in use are sadly a big thing touted by politicians & car drivers as part of UK anti cycling sentiment.I

(Body twisting upon impact is the big harm doer upon impact, but helmets get all the focus, ...I'm not a fan of cycling helmets)

Well , thanks for telling/talking about safety , helmets and TÜV standards , similar to what i can read on every cigarette package ...

But would be cool.... Mr Officer.... to go into the details of the available equipment of cycling nowadays , first

We bought a ebike brand on amazon called 'samebike' around 2 years ago for around £800.

It was a good price for a reasonable ebike at the time.

Real world range is around 20-30 miles and it will do around 20mph just.. but I'm large and heavy..

I basically saw a guys you tube channel about it from Ireland who used it for commuting.

If nothing else a ebike made us cycle more than if we didn't have them..

I once ran out of battery around 2 miles from home. I damn well had a work out then.. it's a lot of weight and i belive the hub motor was adding resistance...

I basically use the top 7 gears of a 21 gear system. I suspect 2 or 3 correctly specified gears works be all that was needed for normal use.

Get one with the correct size battery for your usage. If your only going to do 20 miles don't get 100 mile range. It's extra weight to carry around.

For our usage this bike is fine and I wouldn't pay double the price for more range/lighter bike. However we don't need to lift it in and out of things.

Best thing we ever did was buy ebikes. Always worn cycle helmets as well. Broken arm can mend. Broken head not so easy....

1 Try Google translate
2 don't assume I'm being condescending, you asked / commented, I answered, furthermore took time to try & get you to understand.
Not my problem if it still eludes you.

Try the terms of helmets as a start on your google research and parallel that with your British tone , while mentioning the Germans , the TÜF , and the EU and see what You find !

Nothing nicer than that to step on the pedal from 0- 27 km/h and no gear shifting , no chain etc
