I'm so glad you could answer Mr Gus' enquiry Stinsy I was grappling which what was being asked.
The car in the background is our trusty RAV4, the EV6 is wider and slightly longer, sitting height is about 2 inch lower (anecdotally)
I smile when I get in it now and the prospect of charging at public chargers no longer seems such a daunting task, and the nicest feeling is that I ain't leaving much pollution in my wake as I waft along the country roads, I assume that the sheep in the fields are appreciative
We will be taking it further afield at the weekend to build our confidence up.

Says it all - there is no need for all the massive (and in my opinion distracting) displays, infotainment, appleplay this and googlecar that. Personally I hate the restricted rear 3/4 visibility and over blown footprint of virtually all modern cars. But then may be I am just a miserable old fart that just wants an everyday vehicle to do a job - i.e. move people and stuff from A to B in the most efficient way possible.

The SUV width appearance & height are what concern me as to parking & visibility (poor old cyclists) ..the brick shape doesn't seem to hurt range much on bevs, will find its aerodynamic rating listed somewhere I'm sure.

Slightly ecoing marshmans post above, but the thing that would sway a large proportion of the population would be a lightweight, basic, small, affordable car without all the unnecessary infotainment cr*p, without all the plastic padding on the inside (or outside), and without all the unnecessary extras like power steering, that weren't needed in an economy car of the '70's or '80's and, frankly, are not needed now.

Yeah tech dominates way more than necessary, (though a heatpump is a must for a bev.
Which is why i love the early smart cars, ..got too big & bright after the 451.
Simple cheaper (no mad gang of app designers to screw the payroll further)
New screen for a low res nissan leaf 24kWh is dumb money.

I replaced the screen in my old leaf. Bought a full head unit for £100 from a breaker ,swapped the screen.over and got full touchscreen capability back.
