Re: Idiot's guide to a self build battery
They’re here.
Dropped off by DPD about half an hour ago.
All looks good physically, no damage to cartons or contents.
The only minor, I hope, issue is that whoever put the labels on one of the boxes decided to put some on upside down - so I suspect that 4 of my 11 cells (they were shipped in two x boxes of 4, plus one box of 3) have spent the voyage upside down! I can’t see that as being an issue & I’ve already given them a basic electrical (all @ 3.29 v o/c) test.
It might be worth labelling the boxes “THIS WAY UP”, in future - Colin?
“A stack of 11”, I hear you thinking. I already have 4 from a previous build - hence the total of 15.
My build with these wont be very quick as I have a lot of other stuff going on at the moment, but it should be straightforward enough - so I’m thinking a fortnight, hopefully.
When completed, my stacks will look like this:
Stack A - 20.6 kWh gross
3 x Pylon US2000 C
15 x 280Ah
Stack B - (same as A) - 20.6 kWh gross
Stack C - 31.6 kWh - 31.6 kWh gross
4 x Pylon US2000
30 x 230Ah
Grand total - 72.8 kWh
Cheers for now - Rob
