A couple of nights in Edinburgh before heading back up to get the first vanport panels up and outputting .

A nice wee 32 panel array on the water in Leith today.
Could do with a clean!

Giving this place a go tonight, Brazilian meat restaurant. See how it stacks up to the excellent Fazenda. The power of advertising!

Rode the tram from harbour to St Andrews sq. £2.20 each, what a deal.

All things being equal we should clear around £150 off the arrays for the month after running costs, EV and home consumption.

I think I'll buy one of those dtu lites to get to the G99 profile in the unit. Makes sense that it defaults to European lower V setting and not UK since it's a Euro unit. Those panels will be moving soon too so might as well max their potential. Thanks pudding, good call, the share is much appreciated. :xl:

Well, The Assembly rooms situated Rio Brazilian Steakhouse is wonderful. Lovely setting, great buffet, the wandering servers and green/red card meats system. Had a lovely bottle of Rioja too with swmbo.

Well worth a visit.

Booking was 19.00 to 20.30. Arrived a little early, in bed by 21.00hrs and awake at 08.30hrs! :)

Plans to stop in past Brechin recycle centre tomorrow morning for an ironmongery rummage. Still putting together gear for the vanport gates. DTU lite is on its way. A good way to spend some of this months array production profits. :D

Will see about getting the first 3 panels aloft tomorrow afternoon with No1 Son (while I've got him) and begin running them in Monday and then upgrading the cables back to the solar controller. Hoping to lop at least 5mtrs off the length of cable run during the cable upgrade.

Hopefully in place, secure and power on by Tuesday. Slightly ahead of my September plan.

The recharge in Turkey has been great.
