Balcony solar PV
Re: Balcony solar PV
Actually Will Prowse made a glowing appraisal of the Ecoflow Delta 2 only a week ago.
Re: Balcony solar PV
So can anyone elaborate as to the precise stated reason for withdrawal from sale, & how did eco-flow merely adapt it from EU market & cook this up for the media attention? (can't think they'd do a big old production run for something that wasn't uk compliant at that price) ..dipping toes in the shallow end before dragging a tame mp into the frame to bring attention to it)

Re: Balcony solar PV
I would suspect that the difference will be the AC lead in the box only and UK is a tiny market compared to EU and further afield.Mr Gus wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2023 12:46 pm So can anyone elaborate as to the precise stated reason for withdrawal from sale, & how did eco-flow merely adapt it from EU market & cook this up for the media attention? Re: Balcony solar PV
Cheers Stan, I like the direction these are going. Plug & play, no hassle, price dropping. It seems like an excellent simple well packaged solution?
The only thing that wasn't clear was its ability to interface with the grid. I think it's more a standalone rather that ct clamp sensing grid connected one stop shop. Could be wrong?

Re: Balcony solar PV
Yeah, as I thought, which makes it a low cost gamble to draw attention to the product by modern media, presumably the fella in Stan's video signed a waiver re liability & was happy to go-with-the-(eco)flow, doubt the energy providers would have much of a case finger wagging him ,..though that detail would be interesting to be a fly onna wall

Re: Balcony solar PV
The problem is you are not permitted under UK regs to plug this into a final circuit. It must be fed through a dedicated circuit breaker so that the power has to travel through the protective devices fitted to the final circuit. I guess they could just put a line in their instructions like Pluginsolar.co.uk did.Joeboy wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2023 12:50 pmI would suspect that the difference will be the AC lead in the box only and UK is a tiny market compared to EU and further afield.Mr Gus wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2023 12:46 pm So can anyone elaborate as to the precise stated reason for withdrawal from sale, & how did eco-flow merely adapt it from EU market & cook this up for the media attention? https://www.pluginsolar.co.uk/?product= ... late-roofs contains the statement 'Are Plug-In Solar kits easy to install?
Installing a Plug-In Solar kit is a simple Plug and Play assembly. You can install ALL the kit until the final connection (this will need to be performed by an electrician who will need to install a circuit breaker on a dedicated circuit [1])'

Re: Balcony solar PV
This video doesn’t involve live three-pin plugs but does show a couple of English caravanners plugging in everything that they use to the Delta 2, from 5 minutes in. It’s kind of amusing.
