Solar PV advice
Re: Solar PV advice
Ring the insulation where you want to remove it for the normal crimp and again closer to the end of the cable half way up.
Remove the rear portion, push the crimp onto cable and it will push insulation back, once crimp is half in remove the second bit of insulation

Re: Solar PV advice
I read that as 6.42mm diameter. Which works out as 32.37mm². Given the cable looks a bit squished then it is deffo 35mm². Problem must be with the lugs!

3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
6x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (14.4kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger
(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)

Re: Solar PV advice
Is the cable I have 50mm²???

Re: Solar PV advice
Get the scales out? Where was that post/thread with some of us weighing cables?

Re: Solar PV advice
1/0 AWG (American Wire Gauge) wire has a cross-sectional area of approximately 53.5 mm².

Why did I think I had 35mm² cable?
