Tesla is to triple its battery manufacturing capacity at its Berlin factory from 50GWh/year to 150GWh/year, which would make it the biggest battery factory in the world.

I think that puts a lot of nails in any Britishvolt-rescue-by-Tesla coffin.

Britishvolt was spending heavily on consultants as it considered how to launch products for boats, planes and drones – all promising opportunities, but ones likely to rely on different types of battery. Among the key consultants was EY, which earned millions of pounds in fees while Britishvolt was still operating, two people said. The company has since been tasked with carrying out the administration, despite being owed money as an unsecured creditor.

I was trying to find a report of something I heard on the radio, to the effect that one major undoing was their brave/foolhardy decision to find themselves a different battery chemistry!
Anyway, with the way they seem to have been spending money it looks suspiciously as though the "entrepreneurs" leading it have been using it as a vehicle to get a jet-set lifestyle, assuming investment will keep flowing in regardless of whether it looks as though it will come good. Truly a reflection of the current morals where the glitterati think they have the right to keep milking a gravy-train even when it is nothing of the sort.
It seems very like the silicon valley/AI business where you sell an idea and keep begging investors for money until you either manage to get a product to work - or you walk away from it.
