Marshman. I can see where you're coming from, we all need to tread lighter on this planet.
Different people have different ways, views & ideas, but we all need to get along if we are going to dicuss them.
As an admin on another (specialised) site I know just how important ALL members are. Sorry to see you go.

We make 10kw solar 13kw wind, some bread and lots of beer.
We grow & cook loads.
We eat Fibre, Fat & no Fecking barcodes.
We swear at the heat pump (not strictly true)

Re: @marshman editing a load of old posts.
Sorry to hear of your departure from the Camelot forum.
I for one will miss you, even though you would bite at some of my posts, the last one, i see you have recently edited, was my comment on IFLA against LifePo for domestic storage applications.
However, the World is ever changing.
As you know i have been doing my RE and Sustainability project for over 22 years now, and ordinary folk thought we were stark raving mad.
In our beginnings we struggled to get any decent RE equipment at a reasonable Spec and cost. So we designed and made our own. ie, the 'Ozinverter', '3.2KW PV solar trackers', 'Wind turbines', and now our modern design of 'Lead Acid PLANTE 2v batteries'.
Our philosophy is always, design and make it ‘SIMPLE’, make it ‘ROBUST’, and very importantly keep it ‘COST EFFECTIVE’.
Obviously, my attributes towards this Forum is my Empirical evidence, and especially at the moment with lead acid battery design and making.
Yes, a fair few so called RE manufacturers and dealers hate our guts, and we can soon slap down corporate bullshite folk, me and some good friends around the Planet with the tech bit, and Mrs and her friends with the PHD’s MBA’s etc, and their corporate knowledge bit.
My best wishes ‘Marshman’ and your other half, from a Crazy Englishman who lives in Normandy, France.

Well said Clockman.
I'm fascinated by your mention of making your own LA batterry, is there a post which describes the process?

I post mainly on the USA 'Fieldlines' and the Australian 'Backshed' forums.
It is the whole process and i will produce another one of my books on this new concept PLANTE battery.
This time of year i have loads of other Projects requireing my attention, but i will finish the Plante battery project.
Here is the thread ....... https://www.fieldlines.com/index.php/to ... 445.0.html
I do have more to add at some time but R&D is never easy, especially as this project is about ordinary folk creating thier own PLANTE batteries.

Further to Clockman's reply he mentions it here;openspaceman wrote: ↑Fri Jun 16, 2023 8:24 pm Well said Clockman.
