Yes I wondered the other day how the conversation with my credit card company would go if it turned out I'd paid the £1k deposit to a con artist all that time ago!

I haven't chased. Last update build date was pushed back from week 48 to week 6. I'll give them a call at the end of week 6 beginning of week 7 to see what is what.

I fear my desire for every possible extra had contributed to the delay...
12x 340W JA Solar panels (4.08kWp)
3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
5x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (12kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger

(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)

Well, that's the piggybank smashed right open and all looking good. Ship docked last night at 17.00hrs and no mail/news in saying 'a single shooting grey I5 stuffed into a pillar this evening at Tilbury docks'

Just read that the AWD (dual motor) version of the I5 has been.put on hold due to parts vol issues. SO glad we jumped on the chance of this EV when we did. New orders are now at 7 month wait and they have dumbed down the spec a little.
Strange days indeed
That trade I did with the fella in the Red suit and smell of sulphur about him seems to be paying off....

I've seen a few Ionic 5's around near where I live including one today, they do look very distinctive, especially the front and the wheels.

Teslas are getting more common now, last year I used to see maybe one other when I did a fish run on a Thursday, but today I saw about five.

Halibut and Scallops, beautiful. 8-)

Leaf is going away tomorrow, just waiting on a reg No for Deckard and a collection date. I think I saw one a couple of days ago out in the wilds but it was as it went past heading towards us so didn't get a good look.

I am quite surprised at the 10 day gap between dock and dealer. In saying that, this is the first new car we have owned so nothing to base it on. Got my USB stick with tunes ready to go!

The more I read on delays in production etc the happier I am with our choice and opportunity to jump in now. I'm looking forward to a night run up the road and get a feel for it. :D

Not seen a Y yet in the wild but plenty Model 3's,mostly in white.

I think this car will be here with us for quite a while. Ticks the boxes for 50+, nice space to be in, gets down the road effortlessly, 300bhp, AWD and good load carrying capacity. Decent tunes and a HUD. That's it for me. The range and V2L are just the bonus ball. As are the looks.
