For Kirk Hill the Community Benefit Fund is more than double pro rata at £94k per year.
£752,000 total p.a. not quite a turbine per year for a few years but not bad money to scale up & include / encourage people to community fund & communally benefit on a grander scale.

No, £94k for the whole project.

i.e,
Craig Fatha 1 turbine £5k
Kirk Hill 8 turbines £94k or £11.75k per turbine.

I have 89.78% of predicted annual generation at midnight last night. As I said previously, that's quite good for a year 1 start up. Hoping for mid 90's in year 2.

If we did not see the increased output this year and matched Yr1 output then with the new generation payment figure I would see a 37.39% roi in year two. Add yr1 payments to that and that will be a 50% roi across the first two years generation. :o  8-)

Using the info from the site map video for Kirk Hill I have overlaid the turbines onto a contour map of the area.

Screenshot from the video.
Its going to be absolutely banging in a westerly.

Thats ones a relatively smaller single one,

But there are 2 large clusters of big boys, one 8 miles to the east and one 4 miles to the south, both on higher ground.

Hmmmmm, is this the same as the oil leak (again) not long after the last service ?
Need to get it fixed today as we have several days of reasonable wind.

The hydraulics at Graig Fatha have been playing up during the last few days. We were in touch with the turbine operator over the weekend to keep it operating as much as possible and a service team are due to be on site today."

The beginning of a pattern? I hope not.

Thank goodness, GF is back up and generating once more. Shame about the Hydraulic issue, let's hope they've sorted it for future maintenance schedules as well!
