You can control the heat generated by the type of mix.

Our floor slab got quite warm... it was insulated underneath abnd at the sides, of course and covered with plastic to stop it drying out too quickly: we couldn't get the cat to sit anywhere else for a few days!
I remember reading about a big dam (in China or somewhere) which had steel tubes threaded through it in addition to the rebar, just so that they could pump water through to control the temperature rise.

Photos are there now, not sure if its ALL done or not, looks like they read my comment about not forgetting to put the ducting in.

Graig Fatha Update: Work continues to finalise the turbine foundations

01/11/2021
The team have been working hard to finalise the site foundations ahead of the turbine arrival. Ducts were placed into the steel frame and layers of concrete were added to the foundations prior to the 18 tonne steel ‘can’ being placed in the foundations. This can is now secure within the foundations and will have the bottom of the turbine tower bolted onto it once it arrives on site.

Check out the images below to see the build in action.

Image 1 - Ducts in place prior to concrete pour
Image 2 - Concrete wagons and pouring in early morning action
Image 3 - End of part 2 concrete pour
Image 4 - Can being placed into foundation

Had a web chat with Ripple this morning. WT2 is not going to be around the Huntly area. It will be announced once it can be. Just to keep you all in the loop on unknowing. :)

In that case it could be the twin turbines at Tacher, 20 miles from John O' Groats which is another of CleanEarthEnergy's projects.

We know its in Scotland, we know its more than a single turbine, we know its bigger than Graig Fatha in total power, we know its more productive than Graig Fatha (more kWh per kW) so probably in a windier location.

And now we know its not the one near Huntly which was unlikely once we knew its a multiple turbine project which they let slip in a video interview. They are also building one in Strathaven south of Glasgow but thats a single turbine, so again unlikely to be that one.

If it is up there that's gonna be some serious output. Couldn't get more without going off the mainland to the islands.
