This is my set up.
The big CT clamp below the earth cable is for my solar PV and the small one just above it on the live tail between the two Henley blocks is for the battery inverter/charger
Thanks John...

I will update thread when I have either added a Henley.. or CT clamp method. Thanks.

Any BMS experts here?

2x 15kWh batteries installed in parallel. They each have 100A pace BMS.

Discharging seems fine. Around the 160A I set it at in the SunSynk 8.8kw inverter.

Charging doesn't seem to want to play ball though. Over the past week I have been setting the batteries to charge from 23:30 - 05:30.

For about 90 mins they charge at about 90A (4.6kw) then they start to ramp up and finally hit the 160A (7.4kw) mark after about 120mins. They then stay charging at the full 160A until 100%.

It's repeated this each night give or take a few mins.

The charge current limit is staying at 100A on the inverter screen. I haven't been able to catch it when it has been going full 160A as it's been in the early hours.

Now on to the testing below....

..... I've gamed a charging slot just now to charge the batteries and again 90A max....

I will hopefully catch it ramping up the charge current limit to 200A and go to 160A in an hour or so.

Both the charge and discharge is set at 210A both batteries (I assume it's the over current protect settings):

Anyone got any ideas why this is happening? And how I can resolve? Thanks.

Richard, isn't the figure divided equally between the two batteries?
3.87kWp PV
10.24kWp PV SolarEdge system
Tesla Powerwall 2
MK2 PV router DHW diverter
Morso 5kW WBS

I think so....

So when it's charging at around 90A it's sending 45A on both.

So should be able to do 80A on each battery to hit my 160A

It's been charging for nearly 2 hours now... And still sitting at 89A split between both batteries. Guess it isn't just 90-120 mins that goes slow.

Sitting in garage watching this screen... Come on change!

It might not go as high as your batteries are probably not as low a SOC as they would be come 23:30.

They were on 48% soc when started to charge.

Usually on around 20-30% at 23:30.

I have JK BMS on my batteries and they ramp up to about max charging right away before reducing once the batteries are at 80% SOC.

Once these get to max charging (don't seem be getting to max now!) they stay max until very close to 100%
