"news" just in https://community.rippleenergy.com/news ... iL5EmMUA6q with a nice pic:
The crane is up. The sun is out. That can only mean one thing. It's time for the first turbine lift at Kirk Hill! Join the Kirk Hill space on this community or follow along on our social channels. The same content is posted on both at the same time. And we'll do a round up at the end of the month via email so you won't miss a thing no matter how you choose to follow us. We'll be posting photos and videos from site as often as we can. Bear in mind there will be a delay as footage is checked over by several 3rd parties involved in the build first. We expect the turbines will take several weeks to construct fully so plenty coming your way between now and November!

2.0 kW/4.62 MWh pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWh batt
30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWh pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,
Most travel by bike, walking or bus/train. Veg, fruit - and Bees!

Let's hope that the wind at KH stays below the operating limit of the cranes so that there are no delays, but with a decent wind at GF to earn us money. :D

Under 6m/s it would hardly be generating anyway.
Yep, it would appear a pretty neglible effect by all accounts.
For the first time since buying our bungalow here seven years ago I spotted a bat flying around the garden at dusk a couple of days back. It appeared to be circling in between the triangle created between the gable end and two perimeter fences. No idea what species it may have been but a best guess of 5 to 6" wingspan. It kept appearing and disappearing as it circled and very briefly was joined by another although of smaller proportions. Any suggestions of type would be most welcome as I spotted it the following night also.
Thankfully the solar panels had stopped generating by then so I didn't feel the need to curtail output. ;)
